A road trip map poster of the roads you actually drove
A road trip is a line across the map: the motorway out of town, the coast road you took because the light was good, the detour that became the best day. A road trip map poster keeps exactly that line — not a generic map of a country, but your route, stop by stop.
Tratto draws it on real roads. Add your stops, choose driving, cycling, walking, train, ferry or flight for each leg, and the poster fills in the distance, the days and the countries you crossed.

How it works
Add your stops
Search places by name, click on the map, or paste a Google Maps directions link: every stop arrives in order.
Pick the look
Twelve cartographic palettes, terrain relief, six typefaces, dashed or solid route lines, stop icons or numbers.
Write it
A title, a subtitle, a line of your own. Dates, distance and countries are calculated for you.
Print it
Download a PDF sized for 50×70 cm, A2, A3 or square formats, or a high-resolution PNG/JPG up to ~6000 px.
Real roads, not straight lines
Each driving leg is routed on OpenStreetMap roads, so the poster shows the hairpins of a mountain pass and the curve of a coastline. Long trips of thousands of kilometres work just as well as a weekend loop; ferry crossings are drawn as soft arcs and flights as great circles.
Ideas for the poster
Classic coast-to-coast drives like Route 66 or the Pacific Coast Highway, a European Grand Tour, the Iceland Ring Road, a family summer trip, a van-life year. Add a photo to any stop and it appears on the map as a polaroid.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a road trip map poster cost?
Creating and downloading the poster on Tratto is free, at full print resolution, with no account and no watermark. You only pay the print shop of your choice if you want it printed.
What size should I print it?
The most common size is 50×70 cm; A2 (42×59.4 cm) and A3 also work well. The PDF export is already sized to the real format, at up to about 200 dpi on 50×70.
Can I add stops in a different order or change the route?
Yes. Drag stops to reorder them, drag a marker on the map to move it, and change the mode of transport of each leg. Only the legs you change are recalculated.
